Vetting in Albania, checking residences of 57 judges and judges

Also, possible gifts are being verified, their authenticity, the real value of declared residences, businesses, opportunities to find cash, certificates of deposit, debit cards on vehicles, and so on. Verification is being done by members of the Qualification Commission with the aim of determining the state of facts and circumstances related to the issue.

Within this process, Albanian. com has learned that Veting members will carry out verifications even in the residences of the controlled subjects to confirm the authenticity of statements of their wealth and responses. Verification in any case will be done by permission of the competent court.

The control will focus mainly on the value of furniture and electrical equipment, but also on anything else of value. The target will be subjects who have not declared any spending on property statements for furniture.

International observers have no right to enter the residences of judges and prosecutors, but they have full access to all data and the findings of members of Veting's organs. 57 prosecutors and judges have received an electronic set of questions from members of the Independent Qualification Commission about assets and expenditures.
