He, as said in “RTS” is not optimistic when it comes to resolving controversial issues in the two countries' demarcation.
“The issue of borders is the most important bilateral issue and I am not very optimistic, although the Serbian side has prepared proposals that were good with the views put forward by Bosnia and Herzegovina's presidency member (Bakir Izetbegovic)”, Sakkovovic told Radio Television of Serbia.
He said there are continued tensions between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina since the end of the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but Serbia is trying to be a stabilising factor and not provoke new provocations.
He did not want to talk about an informal dinner held last night in Belgrade, but said Vuciq called Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik.
Asked about a report by the European Commission that stated Serbia could become a member in 2025, if it meets all conditions by 2023, Sakkovic replied that this is the first time that he mentioned specific dates.
According to the European Commission, Belgrade should sign a comprehensive agreement on normalising relations with Pristina by 2019.
“is a difficult question, Serbia has its own interest and dignity, you can see the guidelines in solving this problem and we will continue with that policy,” said Sakkovovic commenting on signing the agreement with Pristina.. /Periscopi/
