What makes the CIA document remarkable is that the coordinates given by the distant audience were from the Sidonia region as described in a series of images of “Viking Orbiter” of Mars in 1976.
Sidon became famous after a number of scholars claimed that the region contained a clear earthly dimension, the ruins of a city and pyramids.
The first reference for artificial structures found in Sidon dates to an article in “Enquirer National” on October 25, 1977, entitled “The root of an ancient city on Mars?”
Notes that “Enquirer” was a photoide directed by Gene Pope, a CIA property, reports “Locking”, Transmission Periscope.
The pope and the main goal of “Enquirer National” was to hide the truth.
Then, any academic or scientist prepared to investigate such sensational claims would face ridicule from their colleagues and disrupting their professional careers.
However, competent researchers turned their attention to the controversial images of “Viewing Orbiter” and found that they really seemed to show a “face in Mars”, nearby ruins and even pyramids.
The first objective analysis of Viking data was published in 1982 in the Omni Journal by researchers Vincent DiPietro, an electrical engineer and Gregory Molenaar, a computer engineer.
Their 1982 Omni unit was an extract of their 77 - page book, the unusual features of Mars' surface, released that same year.
They were soon followed by other independent scholars, such as Richard Hoagland, who established the monuments of Mars in 1987.
The CIA's declassified documents confirm that distant vision has been taken very seriously by the Agency and other intelligence services. Important financing went to the study of the benefit of distant vision as an intelligence collection tool.
The conclusion was that distant vision had enough accuracy to be used for field work, clearly states the declassified CIA document of May 9, 1984.

Among the most accurate analysts of the remote audience described in CIA documents was Igo Swann.
One assignment in 1975 was to spy out secret bases in the Moon, which were run by one or more alien civilizations.
Given the early locations outside Swann's assigned planet, it is not surprising that the CIA has used a distant viewer to learn about the origin of the pyramids and other artificial structures of Mars in the Sidonian region.
The Martian civilization is dying and the population knows about it.
