It's one of the world's greatest art works, and now Chinese archaeologists are using 3D to make a perfect copy of the Grottoes Buddhist temple Buddhist Yungang.

The West Empress Chamber) and the largest Yungang Grottza Cave have been re-created using 3D printers and the latest scan technology.

Experts have now begun reproduction of two other Yuangang caves. The origin of the West Empress Chamber was carved in the middle of the 5th and 6th centuries during the Northern Wei dynasty, when the first religion flourished in China.

The full copy is large, measuring 179 feet [17.9 m], 136 feet [16 m] wide, and 10m high.

The cave consists of three Buddhist statues. The middle statue, the largest of the three, is 10 meters long.

Experts from the Yungang Grotta Research Institute and Zejiang University spent two years playing the cave.
