Over 57m euros of tobacco burn in Kosovo

More than seven million people worldwide die each year from tobacco - related diseases.

This warning from the World Health Organization seems to be not impressing Kosovars.

For a year in Kosovo, 57m euros have been spent on the purchase of tobacco.

From January to the end of November at customs stations have entered 2 thousand and 700 tonnes of tobacco, reports Indexline.

This amount is worth 57m euros. The tax, which is paid on the basis of this amount, is also 151m euros.

Media office spokesman in Dogan, Adriatic Stavileci, has indicated where tobacco comes from. The “mainly from Europe and a part from Macedonia and Turkey” has said it.

According to this Indexline Table, it is seen that by November the amount of tobacco it entered Kosovo is 2,670,797,70 tonnes, while the value of 57,375,024.72 euros.

In a year of tax collection, 151,795,785.94 writes Indexline.
