French authorities have announced that about 200 skiers have remained trapped in teleferics after a gondola has been broken at a restaurant in the French Alps.
The rescue operation is continuing and no reportedly has been injured so far by any of the skiers, writes The Guardian, reports Klan Kosova.
An official on that side has told the Associated Press that now most skiers have been evacuated after spending about two hours stranded.
Violet Demart, an official of the municipality, has said that two helicopter rescue personnel have been launched and opened cabin roofs and out of there skiers are leaving them safely on the ground.
The operation is expected to end later tonight.
