Ekaterina Trendafilova, head of Specialised Chambers, will visit Kosovo this week for the first time.
Under this court visit, Ekaterina Trendafilova, along with Specialised Chambers Administrator Fidelma Donlon, will meet with representatives of civil society in Kosovo.
During the visit, Trandafilova will also hold bilateral meetings with government officials, as well as with local and international organisations to discuss the activities of Specialised Chambers.
During the information event, the Speaker and Administrator will present the structure, the latest legal developments and the work of Kosovo Specialised Chambers.
At the time he was elected to the head of the Special Court, Trendafilova had said that The Hague-based newly established court, which will judge former members of the Kosovo Liberation Army, would not be ethnically and unilateral, as it would judge only suspected criminals, not only the guerrilla organisation.
Meanwhile, until now it is still not exactly known when the first indictments of this Court will be established, even though it has been repeatedly reported that they will occur at the end of this year's fall.
Special Court Chairman Ekaterina Trendafilova has also officially started her work on consolidating the team, which will deal with the investigation into alleged KLAA crimes in January 2017.
