The deployment of the national flag today in the Presevo and Bujanoc municipal buildings on the occasion of Albania's Independence Day, likely angered Belgrade officials, Coha.net broadcasts.
For this reason, the chairman of the Government Co-ordination Body of Serbia for the municipalities of Bujanoc, Presevo and Medvedja (The Presevo League) Zoran Stankovic has said that Serbia had earlier offered Albanians of these municipalities in Serbia to design and to make its national symbols, but added, answers to that offer still no.
“We have offered the Albanian national minority to design its national symbols, which must be distinguished from national symbols in the mother state. Unfortunately, this has not happened”, FoNet quoted Stankovic as saying.
Speaking of the Flag Day celebration in the Presevo Valley has said that our <x0dety in the coming period is that they themselves (Albanians), after they propose their national symbols, they also make and thus this issue be removed from the agenda of”.
