Those who saw the fireball from the ground put pictures in the social media using the hashtag #Sternschuppe, which means “The star's shot”.

An analysis of the facility by former IMO President Dr. Jürgen Rendtel of the Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics in Potsdam linked the event to the hail of the Taurid meteor, which occurs every three years. Hail Brings the remains of Conke comets and 2004 TG10 in earth's atmosphere, where they can be seen as a bright line.

A spokesman for German air traffic control told Stutgarter-Zeitung: “at the moment we can say there was no plane”.

Other flames have been discovered on Bordeaux in France and in the American state of Arizona, but they have been unbounded to Taurid because of their steep trajectory.

The footage of the Arizona event is also posted on the internet./Periscopi/
