Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Cameron Gashi, until he presented the bill, said that with the completion of the Law for President, a non- discriminated legislation forms and gives the president the opportunity to make his contribution after the end of the mandate, being supported by his staff.
Support in principle has given this bill all political subjects, except for the Vetevendosje Movement, which has voiced opposition.
This party's MP, Sami Kurteshi, said their vote against it is because the president's nature differs from that of top public officials, as the president could be re-elected to another post without mandate.
While PDK Deputy Speaker Xhavit Haliti has said that parliament has erred when it has adopted the Law that guarantees eternal retirement to the Constitutional Court chairman, the other chief prosecutor. “We hope that we will discuss who is senior officer of this state and who is not, and practices should be followed in line with at least the practices of serious countries, not those that are not serious. I believe that during the amendment MPs will say their word”.
Several other bills, such as the Intermediation Bill, the Bill on Change and Fulfilling of the Law on Non-Contistent Procedure, have been reviewed and adopted in this session.
