Some residents of Jekaterinburg have written on Twitter that in the early hours of the moon, an unidentified burning object fell near the southern suburbs of the town near the EXPO exhibit centre and the Kotsovo airport.
The branch of the Russian Emergency Ministry in the Sverdlovsk region told “RIA Novosti” that there were no reports of any such incident in Jekaterinburg, reports “Sputnik International” Transmission Periscope.

Some media reported a spokesman for the ECPO centre to have said the meteor's “rest” was a marketing campaign held by the administration of a local amusement park before the discovery of the so-called Space Year Tree.
According to the spokesman, project organisers decided to organise a show to announce the arrival of exhibitions of the Cosmonactics Museum and atroctions for the Christmas tree.
