A first investigation by the local investigative institutions says he committed suicide. But the family requires international expertise. For this, Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri vows there will be maximum commitment.
Tahiri, in a proposal for Metro Journal, has said that since his first day of work, he has put this issue to priority.
Even today, I want to reiterate that I have sent the chief prosecutor a letter in which I asked for co-operation, and I have stressed that I feel it for institutional and human obligations to fulfill the obligations stemming from the recommendations of the Kosovo Assembly. I've asked for a super-expertosis that will be done in cooperation with the Dehari family.
Kosovo's government has approved my request to share financial means in the amount of 50 thousand euros for additional expertise abroad regarding the death of Astriti”, Tahiri has said, while demanding that this case not be used politically by anyone, but allowed to justice, even international, say its word.
He adds that above all the Dehari family deserves justice, and for that he makes a vow that it will happen.
I pledge that I will work to clear this case as a whole, so that, first of all, the family of the late Astritis give support and justice”, the justice minister declares. A protest march for Astrit Deharin, organised by Vetevendosje Movement, will take place in Pristina today. Astrit Dehari is the second son of this family who died. Arbnor Dehar had been thrown out of his residence years ago.
