Government of the Republic of Kosovo has approved the Kosovo budget bill for 2018, envisioning total revenues in the value of one billion and 829m euros, while expenditures will total 2 billion and 82m euros.

Of this amount, 687m euros are earmarked to be capital investments, current expenditures of 1 billion 383m euros, including wages and wages, Goods and services, subsidies and transfers and flow reserves.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that by January next year there will be salary increases for public sector employees.

Minister of Finance in the Government of Kosovo, Bedri Hamza, During the presentation of the draft budget at the Government Meeting, it has estimated that this budget will ensure stability of the country's economic growth, support of economic activities, increased social transfers and increased capital investments.

He, meanwhile, has said that economic growth of 4.6 percent is forecast for 2018.

This form of budget serves as a guarantee of discipline, which enables maintaining macro-fiscal stability. However, in the context of this budget, preserving macro-fiscal stability is not in itself a prerequisite for achieving the ultimate goal of supporting the country's overall economic development”, Hamza has said.
