The chairman of the election panel leading to a recount of the voting process in Pristina has commented on concrete statements about the legality of the PZAP decision and comparisons with preliminary decisions made in Podujevo.

In a statement to KALLXO.com, Judge Hasan Shala, chairman of the Election Panel for Anxiety and Parashtre (PZAP), has said the circumstances in the decision to reject the LDK complaint to recount the votes in Podujevo in the June 11th parliamentary elections this year differ from the circumstances in which it is set to renumber the votes in Pristina.

Various circumstances existed for both decisions. All the circumstances for which the vote is set for recounting in Pristina are included in the decision”, Hasan Shala told KALLXO.com.

He, however, declined to comment on the content of the vote recount decision, with the argument that “all the reasons are written in the decision”.

PZAP has issued the decision, with which the CEC is required to recount all regular ballots, invalid and incomplete ballots.

The panel has considered the political subject's complaints based on the Democratic League of Kosovo, and found that the large number of invalid and empty ballot ballots and particularly the close result between the two candidates and numerous invalid vote differences ... could have an impact on the final outcome of the” election.

This decision has prompted the harsh response of Vetevendosje, whose candidates are in close advantage of their rivals in these municipalities.

VV chairman Visar Ymeri and the two candidates of this party for Pristina and Prizren mayors Shpend Ahmeti and Mytaher Haskuka went to the press conference to challenge decisions that send recounting the votes of these municipalities and prohibit the counting of conditional balloting, those in the mail and balloting of persons with special needs.

Haskuka Ahmeti and Haskuka are at a close advantage over their rivals in municipalities, LDK's Arba Abrash and PDK's Saqir Totaj.

Visar Ymer was harsh at these decisions.

Two decisions made today are unacceptable, illegal and absurd; the CEC's decision not to count votes for Prizren and Pristina; and the decision of PZAP for recount, he said.

With these decisions, the citizenship of Kosovo's citizens is being tried. They have become together against the citizens, and the VV will in no way allow the will of the people to be annulled. We're not gonna sit back and be quiet. We call on observers and embassies to react against this violation of democracy and exhumation”, he added.

While Ahmeti asked the CEC to continue counting on bail and mail for ko

There is no legal logic to recount without counting votes. We urgently request that the CEC make the number of votes conditional and mail to the Pristina municipality”, he said.

Hard on those decisions was Mytaher Haskuka.

“All of us will unite to protect the will of the citizens of Prizren and Pristina for what they voted on November 19th”, Haskuka said.
