Adolf Hitler is thought to be one of the worst men in history. In some countries, especially in Germany, the symbols and rituals associated with the terrible dictator are illegal, and his book “Mein Kampf” was prohibited from being published in Russia. In India, however, Hitler's autobiography is a best-seller, and is even recommended for business students to read. Hitler's images are found in cafes, movies, and even ice cream cones.

Why does India love Hitler so much?

One major reason is that Hitler's legacy as a genocide dictator stems from his share during World War II, which for India, was not a big problem. In fact, India was then going through a period of separation, which also divided the country into Pakistan and India. A division that caused more than a million victims, drawing attention from the conflict in Europe. As a result, neither did the Indian educational system focus the Holocaust as did the entire Western world. Hitler's popularity in Nazi Germany, like his efforts to strengthen nationalism, were well viewed by many in India.

The distance from holocaust's horrors and the focus on his power as leader has portrayed the dictator as an authoritarian patriotic leader, and his name has been used as an anger to describe strict people. These factors have created a unique situation in which Hitler's legacy seems unprecedented.

In fact, when India is looking for a bad leader in the history of the 20th century, it points more to Winston Churchill than to Adolf Hitler. Churchill is blamed for the death of more than 4 million people in India as a result of the Bengal Bridge during World War II.

Instead of giving India food controlled by Britain at the time, Churchill ordered that grain be stored in Europe in case it was needed during wartime. However, it is important to note that while India seems to be heroising Adolf Hitler as a powerful leader, a great speaker, and a discerning military figure, anti-Semitism [which the dictator promoted] is ignored.

Judaism is one of the smallest religions in India, but holocaust is not a factor. Since Hitler's honour in Europe is a mark of the darkest ideas, India's honor has a unique context where its atrocities are not part of India's history.

What did India do during World War II, and why is Hitler's legacy so great? As for the first, India was experiencing a major civil war that led to the establishment of the state of Pakistan, and conflicts between the two countries continue to this day. Nowthiesworld ? Periscope
