Hoxhaj has called these statements irresponsible and misleading for domestic opinion in Serbia regarding the legal agreement with Kosovo.
Hoxhaj has stressed that Serbia cannot be admitted to the European Union, as the EU does not accept new members with open issues such as mutual recognition, demarcation of the border and unresolved early conflicts.
With this post in Titter, Hoxhaj has responded to the Serbian Minister for European Integration's recent statement, Jadranka Joksimovic, who declared Serbia would not be conditioned by recognising Kosovo's independence to become a member of the European Union.
These statements are recently used by Serbian politicians, with the aim of rationalising the agreement that is envisioned to be reached between Kosovo and Serbia for full normalisation of relations and mutual recognition.
