7 members of the Kumanovo Group were sentenced to life imprisonment. Another 26 received severe sentences, collected together serving 736 years in prison. Four people were acquitted. That was the epilogue of this case.

In some Kosovo countries, it protested against this sentence by burning the Macedonian flag. Few Kosovar politicians [yet no political party] and war veterans reacted. The latter [from the Dukagjin region] named the verdict an anti-Albanian and had to be reviewed if the neighbouring state wanted to exist. Thus, Macedonia was threatened with existence, as was seriously threatened by the attack on Kumanovo.

It is important that the investigation be further revealed and punished by other people involved. However, it is impossible for this group to be housed by its guilt, which flows directly from what is obvious and proved to have done. The Kumanovo Group, as should not happen with any other group that does such acts, and with no individual, should be protected by the reason that they are Albanians and were believing something Albanian. Protecting Albanians and their interests, as long as we believe in a liberal and democratic order, belongs to those they choose -- politicians and political parties. In both Macedonia and Kosovo and Albania.

Kosovo's liberation took place under the terms of oppression and denial of our social will. So in all other conditions where the expression of democratic will was denied, and the right to self-rule. While the others are outside the citizens' very will of Albanians and should be viewed objectively. No one has the right to hide behind his wife when he commits an eventual criminal act in another country. Moreover, when he openly violates the will of what he seeks to deliver or protect.

Furthermore, as we said before, it is obvious and provable that there were plans for destabilising Macedonia, which could have led to more deaths, and in an even more unfavourable political situation for the Albanians themselves there. Moreover, Macedonia is a state that has relatively good relations with Kosovo, and which recently expelled Nikola Gruevski from ruling. In this case, sentences may be prescribed: If they were heavier or easier than needed, but the word is only for the experts in criminal cases. It is corrupting and unjust to talk about such a thing with prejudice, feeling the national initiative without place.

A good patriot today is one engaged in democracy, equal rights and social justice. But they are not the ones who are drunk by patriotic songs that ruin the silent efforts of daily warriors in our societies for the things mentioned above.

This direct military action should have no place in our societies. It is an act that violates not only those who attack but also those who claim to protect him. Such acts should be condemned, regardless of which ethnic, religious, or political group they associate.

The reaction of a large part of the world presents a clear symptom of corruption, and corrupt thinking, which in its own respect, a neighbor, closes his eyes to what constitutional order requires and general good. As Sartre put it, people do not define themselves by just one product. If some members of the Kumanovo Group have participated in the Kosovo war, that merit will never be removed. But on the other hand, that credit does not suit them or other former fighters for their other actions.
