Dzemail Mustaf's daughter's hopes at the Special Court have a few words for LDK.

On the 17th anniversary of the assassination of the Xhemajil Mustafa event, the Mustafa family is hoping for the dawning of his murder at the Special Court.

Xhemailil Mustafa's daughter, Beriana Mustafa, has said her demands for justice are beginning to turn into cliche, while he said that even the LDK had to be more vocal at the dawn of her father's murder.

On the 17th anniversary of the assassination of Dzemail Mustaf family and LDK leaders have been paying their respects near Mustafa's grave in the village of Glamnik in Podujevo.

For justice organs that have been seized by politics in Kosovo, this is already known to my appeal no longer lies in these organs. My appeal is not even toward mission E. ULEX, because it is a mission that is dealing with scandals every day and is showing that it is mired in corruption. The only piece of hope in this case is the Special Court. I am taking this case in very spare, even the Special Court, but it remains the last to address my parent's case and other cases, which are politically motivated murders”, Mustafa said.

She said that if even the Special Court fails to bring to justice those who have issued orders to execute its parent, then the justice in Kosovo should be closed.

Since the party her father was part of was in power, the Democratic League of Kosovo, Berane Mustafa has said she had to be more vocal in the dawn of her father's murder.

“I am not part of the party, I cannot comment about the party, but that the party has wanted to be more vocal in this direction. I believe it had to be the Democratic League of Kosovo more vocal and with even more concrete actions around these”, Xhemail Mustafa's daughter said.

But when asked about it, Democratic League of Kosovo Chairman Isa Mustafa has said that while he was prime minister and when they were in power they have asked the prosecution and justice bodies to resolve these issues.

“We have then requested from the Prosecutor and justice bodies that these cases be investigated, found guilty, requested also from EULEX because this substance has been and is carried over through EULEX. And we will constantly ask for cases to be clarified, all that are in the Societies of the time covering special courts of course will be covered by special courts. However, there are many other cases for which local justice bodies must act”, Mustafa said.

Mustafa said there is hope that all cases belonging to the Special Court period will be clarified. But which, according to him, does not keep all hope only on this court, as local justice bodies must also do their job.

To pay tribute to the tomb of Xhemail Mustaf, except for LDK leader Isa Mustafa, were also Podujevo Chairman Agim Veliu, chairman of Gjilan, Lutfi Haziri and many other LDK figures.

Xhemajl Mustafa, one of the closest associates to the late President Ibrahim Rugova, was killed on November 23rd in 2000, he was killed while returning from work in the afternoon, on the steps of the building in downtown Pristina. Mustafa's killers have never been found. Many roads have been named after him, while even a school in Pristina bears the name of the LDK event.
