The Democratic League of Kosovo, through a reaction to the media, says it wants to clarify the opinion on today's writing on charges that a candidate for the post of employment agency director general, Defrem Rifaj, has done to former Labour and Social Management Minister Arba Abrash.

Rifaj, according to an article published by the Kosovo news agency Preess, says Abrashi, now a candidate for mayor of the Pristina municipality, has committed legal violations in the appointment of his former adviser, Drin Harachia, to the post of director general of the Employment Agency.

“The LDK says Abrashi has had no role in this process, as the entire process of directorial selection has been made by the British company contracted by Kosovo institutions, allegedly by the British company BDO LLP in partnership with A& Company. The DC, which was committed by the British Embassy in Pristina to assist Kosovo institutions in recruiting candidates for high positions of Kosovo public institutions”, says the LDK's response.

“Drin Harachia has been a civilian servant at MAPL. While, in the position of director general of the Employment Agency, it was selected by the British, and was the most successful candidate in the interview. Meanwhile, Arba Abrash has nothing to do with that appointment. The contest has been public and has since been eligible to compete on every individual”, says further in explaining the LDK candidate staff for the Pristina municipality.
