Vetevendosje seeks vote in Mitrovica for Fehmi Feratin chairman

Following the rally in Drenas, the Vetevendosje Movement has continued election activity in the town of Mitrovica. Supporting the mayoral candidate, Fehmi Ferati, at today's electoral rally there was Chairman Wisar Ymer and MPs Albin Kurti, Adem Mikulovci and Aida Dorgi.

It was MP Adam Mikulovci in his speech who opened this gathering, telling the Mitrovicas that he has not appeared before them to praise Vetevendosje but to invite for change. He has remembered this city's many activists and has sharply criticised until now powers.

After Miclovci, Kosovo Deputy Speaker Aida Drgati thanked the citizens of Mitrovica for the great support they gave to Vetevendosje on 11 June. She has recalled the miners' resistance to the anti-colonial movement against Serbia, and has said Mitrovica is still resistant, but this time against ill-governance and fun.

“Viti 2017 will remain in history as the year of the intervention of citizens against corruption, corruption, organised crime and mismanagement. The year 2017 will be a year for the return of dignity, progress and development, a year of hope and opportunity for better life”, Dorgi said, which later spoke of the candidate for chairman, Fehmi Ferati, showing his contribution over the years in various areas, which I invite the Mitrovicas to vote massively.

In his address, Chairman Visar Ymer said Mitrovica is a city of work, development and well-being, not parasites, referring to the parasites. PDK. For the latter, Mitrovica and all of Kosovo are highly indebted.

Don't think about who the job will be done with elections. They'll account for everything they've done so far. Not in front of us because we don't want revenge, but in front of independent justice because we want justice”, said Ymer, whose word was conveyed by the cheers of participants from this gathering “Hajat inburg”.

And MP Albin Kurti said that on October 22nd citizens in the polls will face their old promises without programme and our new pledges with the programme. For this day Kurt invited citizens to come together to enable change.

The Vetevendosje movement wants transparency for the municipality, urban traffic for the city, transportation for villages, water and sewering for every neighborhood, health and school control, public centres for children, continued quality services, preventing corruption everywhere and forever. We have done it in Pristina, we will also do it in Mitrovica”, Kurti stressed in addition to that gathering.

In turn, chairmanial candidate Fehmi Ferati first presented the list with candidates for the Mitrovica Municipal Assembly. He further said that even in this election on one side, we have several unprincipled parties, while on the other, Vetevendosje with the people.

He criticised all political parties, equally counting the damages caused by their governance and inviting citizens to punish. In the end, he presented the pledges of the Vetevendosje Movement, stating that resolving the problems of Mitrovica citizens is within them.
