Insider has discovered that Zeka has met with Milak under efforts to influence the closure of the investigation against him. Zeka has met other influential officials to ask for help.
Their meeting constituted an unprecedented case when a chief prosecutor meets with a suspect of organised crime.
The State Prosecutor has tried to reason on the meeting that if the meeting has not been a topic of discussion of Zeka's investigations, the work and competencies of the Special Prosecutor. The prosecutor has said Millaku has hosted Zeka as deputy rather than suspect.
“Milaim Zeka has sought to meet with the chief prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, Reshat Milaku, in the quality of Kosovo Assembly deputy, and that during this meeting, he will not talk about his case, but on issues that are of the interest of work by the PPC's competenc1> competencies, Prosecutor's spokesman Ekrem Lutfi has said.
“Chief Prosecutor Millaku has admitted to the office Milaim Zeka, and during the meeting they held there was another prosecutor from the PSRK”, he added, trying to remove dilemmas on the topic of discussion.
Meanwhile, a week after this meeting, Zeka has surrendered and has been sent to the tribunal on request for detention.
On the day of his arrest, Zeka has also met with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj. The prime minister's office announced that the topic of discussion was the issue of the RTK Law.
