Media known for more pro-scaling attitudes “Sputnik” has written an article about the fact that the proposal has been proposed that the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo may be equipped with Albania's passports.

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has asked his Albanian counterpart, Ilir Meta, to give his country's citizens Albanian citizenship so that they can travel through Europe without visas. This is nothing else but another effort by Pristina to draw the international community's attention, said political analyst from Kosovo Zivojin Rakevic for “Sputnik”

He said the majority of Albanians currently perceive Kosovo as a trivial state, referring to current events as a <x0 mic with no content”, demonstrating “lying behind a dream of perfect independence”. “There is anarchy and corruption, plus Kosovo's economy is down”, Rakocevic told “Sputnik” Serbian, in connection with Pristina's initiative to equip Kosovo citizens with Albanian passports, thus giving the idea of what is called “Great Albania”. “at the same time, Serbs feel ashamed because they are unable to use their Serbian passports”, he added.

Rakocevic portrayed Thaci's recent statement as <x0larging” because the “inciting chaos is the easiest way to draw attention to”. Western “Western countries know that their supposedly successful project in Kosovo should at least seem stable, and the keys to this stability are in the hands of Hashim Thaci”, Rakocevic concluded.

Pristina lawyer Azem Vlasi has said about “Serbia's Sputnik” that Thaci's comments should be interpreted only in terms of the desire of Kosovo citizens to have freedom of movement like everyone else. “We need to show Europe a need for the way out of the current” situation, he said, adding that Kosovo citizens feel they are in reserve.

Last week, Thaci blamed the international community for failing to promise in exchange for Pristina, for establishing a Netherlands-based war crimes tribunal. EU officials earlier have pledged to speed up Kosovo's path to EU membership and to U NESTO, as well as granting Kosovo citizenship visa with visa liberalisation. In August, Kosovo agreed to establish a special court to prove former Kosovo Liberation Army members, on whom charges of various crimes are charged in the war against Serbia in the late 1990s.

The court, which will be based in the Netherlands in 2018, will be funded by the European Union to prevent possible judicial corruption. All citizens will be non-Kosovo citizens, but will implement the Kosovo law. In 1999, NATO launched a military operation in then-Yugoslavia that included Serbia and Montenegro during the Kosovo war for alleged human rights abuses of the Albanian population, which recently paved the way for Kosovo's independence. Kosovo unilaterally declared its independence from Serbia in 2008, something that was recognised by more than 100 UN member states. Serbia, Russia, China, Israel, Iran, Spain, Greece and some other countries do not recognise Kosovo as an independent state”, writes “Sputnik”
