The Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences has ruled that the award, Sveriges Ricksbank Price, for economic sciences in memory of Alfred Nobel, is awarded to Richard H. Thaler, for his contributions to economic analyses”, Goran Hansson said.
This economist's work shows how human traits affect individual decisions and market achievements, the Nobel Committee's reasoning says.
Mr. Thaler, 72 years old, “is a pioneer of economic behavior, a field of research in which knowledge from psychic studies apply to economic location”, says the Swedish Academy of Sciences analysis.
