Immediately after being deputy in the Kosovo Assembly on 11 June, Mimoza Kusari-Lila resigned from the position of Chairman of the Gjakova municipality.
However, according to its counterCandidate from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ardian Gjini, she has continued to exploit municipal benefits to both the mayor and the office.
“Mimosa is telling us that 6 October this was done, in July this was done. This is about the municipality, even though it's not the mayor, that uses the city car, that uses the mayor's office...”, Djind said.
On these charges in Debat Pernime Kusari-Lila said she did not deny that she has used the highest benefits, saying how elected MP has the right to visit the municipality's object.
“I am a free citizen, and like every other MP who comes into the Gjakova municipality and I enter, you are free to enter... Neither does the law know that the people's elected have the right to be deputies of the Kosovo Parliament is up to me to meet officials that the votes and electorate are in Gjakova”, she said.
