Kosovo police have estimated that, in terms of security in general, the election process has passed smoothly and without major incidents, which have not affected the overall election process.
Reference to official information, police report that several different cases have been recorded, but that with professional and immediate actions have been successfully managed by competent authorities, Kosovo Police and the State Prosecutor.
Several criminal cases have been recorded in the Kosovo Police throughout the country's territory, as well as fourteen incidents of different natures, which have been successfully addressed and managed.
It is noteworthy that Kosovo Police, in this case PKK-Jarinje border officials, have now stopped a bus of travellers with KG license plates, in which suspicious explosive vehicles have been found.
After verifying suspected vehicles, it has resulted in two hand grenades and two electrical detonators, who have been checked out of the competent unit.
As a result of the police officials' work and actions regarding the case, three suspected Serb persons have been escorted to the police station. Five persons have been detained in the quality of suspected persons with the decision of the competent prosecutor.
All further actions will be taken in consultation and co-ordination with competent prosecutors.
Kosovo police remain committed to ensuring constitutional order, creating a safe and secure environment for all citizens, including protection of human rights in general until the end of the entire election process.
