Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj has expressed deep concern over the systematic degloreisation being made to Serbian war criminals on the part of Serbia.
Hoxhaj has told Reuters, that the Government of Kosovo is highly concerned with these actions, and how war criminals have been rehabilitated in high state, security and education positions.
“We are highly concerned by the systematic clogisation and rehabilitation that were made in Serbia's highest war criminals' institutions”, Hoxhaj has declared for Reuters.
Hoxhaj has also stressed another concern of Kosovo, that of the international community's lack of reactions regarding cases where war criminals rise from Serbian leaders.
Even human rights activist in Serbia Natasa Kandic has reacted to these actions of the government of Serbia, viewing it as a dangerous game and the end of any vision for European integration, good neighbourly and regional co-operation.
On the other hand, the EU office has not responded to Reuters's questions on the subject, while even Volini's office has refused to comment.
These statements have come after Serbia's Defence Minister Alexander Vulin has elevated a convicted war criminal, naming him a brave man, for whom he has said he is proud. Volin himself has been part of the government in Milosevic's time, which is considered the Balkan butcher, due to many victims stemming from the conflicts launched just by Milosevic.
