Health Minister Visits Measles Touches

Minister Ismaili was announced by the director of the Infectious Clinic Dr. Hamdi Ramadani for the state of measles-affected patients being treated at this clinic.

Director Ramadani announced that the situation is under control and that cases are being managed with dedication by the clinic staff. He said that since presenting cases of recent days that have sought medical treatment, medical personnel have treated and released home with good health and passing fruit 85 cases, while 79 other cases are being handled at the clinic.

Some of these cases, according to Principal Ramadani, are in serious condition, but the medical staff is doing their best to care for them.
During tomorrow, meanwhile, another 25-30 cases are expected to be released at home after the most successful treatment at the Infectious Clinic.

Director Ramadani said the situation is manageable and that the ministry has supplied with the necessary medications the clinic for handling cases, while stressing the fact that the cases of measles being presented are among those categories of the population that have not been immune and vaccinated over time and some cases that have not passed the fruit in natural form.

Minister Ismaili said he came to the clinic to show the Health Ministry's support for the patients being treated and the health staff, as well as to see closely the management of these cases.

Minister Ismaili has appealed to unvaccinated population groups to be vaccinated and thanked the medical personnel for their commitment to managing and overcoming this situation.

Minister Ismaili, the director of the Infectious Clinic and the executive director of KSKUK, have stressed that the population does not need panic, but for increased caution until they have assured that the ministry, KSF, IKSHP and other institutions are co-operating closely for the careful management of the situation and measurable cases in Kosovo.
