Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has visited Kosovo's Vala and Telecom today, where he said that during his rule he would not forgive anyone who brings Kosovo into a situation like AXOS's, but also ordered that Kosovo should not happen such cases.
Haradinaj has met with Telekom's chief chief, Agron Mustafa, the Post's chief, Sejko Hoxha, as well as the unions of the two companies, to announce the situation in these two companies.
Haradinaj said that the Government bears responsibility for the situation in these companies and that since taking office as prime minister, the government is recording the situation on the ground as Trepca, KEK and PTK. While he said the situation would not be easy.
“won't be easy. The mail is harder, it's not even profitable, they've decided to make new products. The phone has had its challenges, but we have to determine what developmental goal we want to go to. I believe a certain time colleagues from management will be able to propose to the Government their development plans, for the upcoming stage. The objectives that should be clear to agree together. We know that there are boards and managements here, but there's still a public company, and the government needs to have agreed to a certain direction, because we have had bad experiences in the past, like the case of failed privatisation, and other developments that have made the sector that we are, so telecommunications in Kosovo as a whole, but companies that are public companies”, he said.
As for the indictment that AXOS has filed with the Kosovo government, unless it meets the contract, Haradinaj said Kosovo should not repeat such cases. While he said that during his rule, he could never forgive someone who brought Kosovo into a situation as in the AXOS case.
If I'm in a fight, I'm gonna hurt myself. However, we will consult with those in charge, with whom he follows. What is very important, teaches me not to repeat such cases to Kosovo. Unfortunately, it's not the only case. We have some similar situations. For Kosovo they dare not happen. If my colleagues, the Government all who represent Kosovo are listening, I could not forgive someone who brings Kosovo into a situation, like Axos during my rule, whoever he or she is,”, he said. .
Telekom's chief chief, Agron Mustafa, said it was a necessary and timely visit.
A very necessary visit, at the right time and above all was a frank, open and correct conversation. Together with the unions of both corporations and, above all, we agreed on further steps and initial data or inputs, how the two corporations' management see these corporations in the next three years. Be in closer co-operation and more functional with the country's prime minister and government, as shareholders of these public corporations in the country”, he said.
And Post Director Sejdiu Hoxha said he briefed the prime minister on the new services they are creating.
Kosovo's “Post informs the prime minister of the new services being created, we have been with two services when we started as mail. Today we have dozens of new services that we have created and are constantly working to create new services, so Kosovo Postan, make companies financially sustainable”, he said.
