Greece continues to issue threatening messages to Albania about our country's EU integration aspirations.
Following the foreign minister, this time is Greece's President Prokopis Pavlopoulos, who has once again returned to Athens' concern about the destruction of several Greek minority dwellings in Himara.
In an interview for the Serbian daily “Politica”, Pavlopoulos says the actions of Albanian authorities who violate fundamental human rights hinder the path towards membership in the European Union.
When they commit acts that contradict European conventions, such as the brutal violation of basic human rights, in particular that of property, undermines the European perspective”, the head of the Greek state has said.
Even the Greek Foreign Minister has earlier made such statements on the issue of Greek minority property in Himara, threatening Albania with blocking the opening of negotiations for EU integration.
While a conversation took place last week among residents affected by the development plan in Himara, and the ministers of Godbarko, where it was agreed on to compensate the residents.
