A carrier from Russia, Antonov-124, has sent two MiG-29 fighter aircraft to Serbia -- a deal that includes sending six planes, which could increase East-West tensions to the Balkans, Rel reports.
The planes landed at the military airport on the outskirts of Batajnica in Belgrade.
MiG aircraft, offered by Moscow free of charge, however, repair and renovation are expected to cost about $235m.
The other four planes will arrive before 20 October, where they will be displayed in Belgrade during the parade on Freedom Day.
Then Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, now president of the country, said in March, that Russia wants “he donated” Serbia, six MiG-29 fighters.
Russia will also offer 30 T-72 tanks and patrol cars for free.
