46 new assets are added to the Heritage List for Contemporary Protection

This year, the list has also been filled with new assets from the field of spiritual heritage, which has not been documented, researched, studied and promoted for what it deserves. Among many proposals, the list is included: Karadaku Dances, Life and Oral Activity by Xhemajl Abria, Drenica Dances, Sofra Payane, Traditional Foods and Traditional Games. Two proposals like the US event have also been considered for this category. “Agimi” in Prizren and Art Voices, and for the same working group, it requested supplementary information before joining the List.
Minister Gashi said that the “assets included in the Cultural Heritage List for Contemporary Protection are marked for historical, archaeological, architectural, spiritual, social and educational values. This list of inheritance assets testifies to our antiquity and gives us insight into the way we live from early periods to today in our country. ”
Under this process, of updateing the list, Minister Gashi has established a professional commission to assess those assets that have been proposed for leaving the list. The relevant commission, following the assessment of assets on the ground, beginning today and until the end of the year, will submit detailed reports on each assets according to the priorities and actions it should take. So far, no assets have been removed from the list, and 92 more proposals have been prepared to access the asset list for permanent protection.
